Pizzana was born in 2009 from a dream shared by the Rosetti family — to bring the soul of Naples to the heart of Houston. What started as a modest 12-table trattoria on West Gray Street quickly became a community staple, beloved for its hand-stretched doughs, wood-fired ovens, and unapologetically authentic Italian flavors.
Our founder, Marco Rosetti, learned the art of pizza-making from his grandmother in the Campania region of southern Italy. He carried those recipes across the Atlantic, refining them with the finest local Texas produce while staying fiercely true to the techniques passed down through generations.
Today, Pizzana is more than a restaurant — it's a gathering place where families celebrate milestones, friends share stories, and every guest leaves feeling like part of the family.

Marco Rosetti opens the original 12-table Pizzana on West Gray St, Houston, with just three staff members, a wood-fired oven imported from Naples, and a dream to share authentic Italian pizza with Texas.
Just three years after opening, Pizzana was crowned "Houston's Best Neapolitan Pizza" by the Houston Press, putting us firmly on the culinary map and tripling our reservation waitlist overnight.
We expanded our kitchen and introduced a full Italian menu — pastas, antipasti, desserts, and an Italian wine list curated by our sommelier. The dining room grew to 60 seats to meet overwhelming demand.
